Sarah joined the District 8 Medical Examiner Office in 2019. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Gulf Coast University. She obtained a double major in Forensic Studies and Criminal Justice which included an internship with a concentration in forensic entomology and human osteology.
A member of the National Society of Leadership and Success since 2016, she earned the National Engaged Leadership Award in 2017. She is a registered Diplomate with American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators and member of the Florida Association of Medical Examiners.
Additional training and education includes the Medicolegal Death Investigator Training Course at St. Louis University School of Medicine; Medicolegal Death Investigator Online Academy; Sudden Unexplained Infant Death Investigation (SUIDI) Training; Dobbert Model of Advanced Sexual Predator Analysis; FDLE Crimes Against Children Program; and other trainings emphasizing both Crime Scene and Homicide Investigation.
After completing University of Florida’s Business Communications courses, Sarah became the Liaison between the District 8 Medical Examiner Office and various organ procurement organizations.
